San Antonio is known by many names: Alamo City, River City, Military City, USA. But many people just call it ‘home.’
In the 18th century, missionaries founded the Spanish mission and fortress now known as The Alamo. In 1836, this is where the Battle of the Alamo occurred. Today, The Alamo is located in the Alamo Plaza Historic District in downtown San Antonio. It is Texas’ biggest tourist attraction.
The name River City comes from the San Antonio River Walk, a network of paths along the banks of the San Antonio River—a whole story beneath the streets of the city.
San Antonio is home to several military bases, including the Lackland Air Force Base, Randolph Air Force Base, and Fort Sam Houston. It’s no wonder people refer to it as Military City, USA. The industry employs almost 90,000 people and more than $5 billion to the city’s economy.
With plenty of attractions to keep you busy and a bustling economy, San Antonio would make a nice place to call ‘home.’ Read about the following five best mobile home parks in and around San Antonio.
